(WASHINGTON D.C.) – March for Kids, a grassroots movement defending parental rights and prioritizing children, announced today that, in light of security concerns, it is moving its inaugural demonstration at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 31, 2024 from the National Mall to the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Constitution Hall,1776 D Street NW, Washington, D.C.
“Our top priority is delivering a safe and meaningful experience for all attendees. Due to recent events, March for Kids organizers have decided to relocate the event to the historic DAR Constitution Hall,” said Tina Descovich, Co-Founder of Moms for Liberty, a March for Kids coalition partner. “We look forward to kicking off the March for Kids movement at this truly special venue, where we will send a powerful message to politicians and bureaucrats in Washington and across America: parents, not government, must direct the upbringing of our children.”
For nearly 100 years, DAR’s Constitution Hall has served as a flagship venue in America’s capital, hosting every U.S. president since the Coolidge Administration. Here, March for Kids aims to inspire, inform and influence the national conversation around parental rights through its dozens of coalition partners, thousands of grassroots supporters and speeches by its inaugural March Captains, including former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii), media mogul Glenn Beck and civil rights leader Dr. Alveda King.
