(WASHINGTON D.C.) – March for Kids, a grassroots movement defending parental rights and prioritizing children, announced today that award-winning singer Mary Millben will sing the National Anthem at the March for Kids on August 31, 2024. Last night, Millben performed the “Star Spangled Banner” at the Republican National Convention prior to the official nomination of former President Donald Trump.
Millben says she uses her voice as a platform to encourage love of country, promote unity and honor those who have sacrificed their lives for freedom. She has performed for four consecutive U.S. Presidents, including George W. Bush, Barack Obama, Donald Trump and Joe Biden. She has performed in front of heads of state and royalty overseas, pairing her message of unity with diplomacy. Millben has also been featured at The White House, the United States Congress, the National Football League (NFL), National Basketball League (NBA), Major League Baseball (MLB), 2016 Rio Olympics, Off-Broadway and the XLIII Superbowl Halftime Show with Bruce Springsteen.
“I’m honored to help kick off the March for Kids to lend my voice to those who cannot speak up for themselves,” Millben said. “We live in a great country with incredible people. At the March for Kids, we will raise our voices as one to speak for change and advocate for commonsense solutions that recognize the rights of parents to protect their kids.”
March for Kids will convene at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 31, 2024, at the Jefferson Memorial in Washington, D.C. This nonpartisan event will raise awareness of the need to protect the rights of parents to direct their children’s upbringing.
